Gold Fish
Have you ever thought about riding a twin-fin fish that also
had the feel of a mid-range surfboard? I first did this design
back in 2003. But these types of surfboards were not that
much in demand back then. And as ideas get recycled every
few years, all you have to do is wait a little while and all the various styles will come back around full circle. 2010 saw
the peak of the Pig. But the word on the street is that many
of these mid-range shapes are becoming popular...again!
This is my version. It's a little longer...a little sweeter. The
bottom is flat in the tail with full thickness from the center
to a turned down rail. the rocker is moderate in order to
maintain a straight rail but with a kicked up nose as is
customary with a fish. The average thickness is around
2 3/4" while maintaing a full turned down rail. The most
popular lengths of this model are 6 ft. 6 in. to 8 ft. 6 in.
A single stringer, glassed on twin fins and light glass are
standard with the Gold Fish with extra color packages
available at reasonable prices. So there's only one question left: Which mid-range surfboard will you choose to ride
this year? Well..."Go Fish"!
